Misty & Lille
Kate recently finished two wonderful oil paintings. The first is of Lille. As Kate says:
“I’m close to finishing this painting of Lille, working on some final touches. Lille is such a graceful subject to paint. Daphne wanted her painted on plain background at first but as we went through many options and compositions, we finally settled on one which depicted Lille in the wilderness, on a bench with some lovely brown and green colours behind her. Her fur, though white, has so many beautiful undertones and I enjoyed painting her very much!”
The second painting is of Misty, a beautiful short-haired cat which Kate couldn’t share before as it was a birthday present. Sadly Misty passed away while Kate was working on the portrait, which we’re deeply saddened by. The portrait would therefore be presented with a very different meaning. Kate did receive a lovely email from the client who allowed us to use as a review to share on the website:
“Hi Kate. My husband Gary loved portrait of Misty, as expected we all got very emotional. Gary said you have captured her totally and it was almost like she was here for his birthday.
Thank you so much Kate, you have been so lovely and very professional. You are a brilliant artist.”
