Hello and welcome,
I’m very excited to do this first post on the new blog. My returning clients have probably noticed that the website has new easy to navigate design!
This post will be dedicated to a piece I did a while ago for a returning client. It’s called “Creation of Denzel” and it’s of course based on the Michaelangelo’s “Creation of Adam”. It’s a 50x25cm oil on board. Michaelangelo’s Sistine Chapel painting is very well known and it was clearly meant to point out the superiority and perfection of human beings. But aren’t dogs amazing too? I certainly think they are. I dare say, in many ways, more perfect than us. They’re loving, devoted, faithful and never fail to cheer us up. I posted this piece on social media and got some amazing reactions!
Denzel was previously painted as King Henry VIII. I have to say he was a lovely model in both cases!
