Portrait of Masie

Portrait of Masie is finally ready and framed. It’s a 30x40cm head and shoulders oil painting on board. It was lovely to work at.
Masie has this unbelievable fur that was a pleasure to paint. One of my favorite things to paint is fur like hers. I love to see the paint flow and form strands falling softly on top of each other.

The painting is framed in one of the Brampton’s frames, black with a subtle gold strip that emphasizes the colors used in the painting. I really like the final result. Since I took the photos yesterday, the painting has been packaged and shipped to the owner. And as I was finishing this post I received a phone call from Samantha who told me she and her family absolutely loved it! It makes me so happy to hear that people enjoy my work so much!
